Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
(about the method, safety, and sensations)
How does acupuncture treatment work?

Acupuncture works by regulating imbalances in Qi (vital energy) through the precise insertion of very fine, sterile needles into specific points along meridians. Point selection is based on an individual Chinese medicine diagnosis. Treatment may be complemented with cupping, Gua Sha, moxibustion, or individualized herbal formulas.

Is acupuncture painful?

Acupuncture is generally gentle and well tolerated. Very fine needles are used, and points are often selected away from the area of pain. Ultra-fine needles are available for sensitive patients.

What reactions may occur after treatment?

You may experience deep relaxation, mild fatigue, or temporary detoxification reactions that usually resolve within 24 hours.

Treatment Expectations
(about the method, safety, and sensations)
What results can I expect and when will improvement occur?

Results depend on the type and duration of the condition. Acute issues often improve within 6–8 sessions. Chronic conditions require a longer, staged approach.

How often should treatments be scheduled?

Two to four sessions per week provide the fastest results. After improvement, maintenance sessions are recommended monthly or quarterly.

Is acupuncture a quick fix?

Acupuncture is not an instant solution. Lasting healing requires time and consistency.
